She/her/hers
I am a family physician who can provide care for almost any short or long term health concern for people of all ages and backgrounds.
I enjoy helping students "live their best lives" and assisting with solving or managing health issues so you are able to focus on your education and bigger life goals. My office welcomes and values people of all belief systems, life backgrounds, and gender identities.
I studied biology, music, and anthropology at Iowa State University and subsequently spent a year in AmeriCorps working with Hmong and Somali immigrants to the U.S. in Minnesota.
I attended medical school at Duke University while concurrently obtaining a master's degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a residency in family medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill as well. Since then, I have taught at the medical schools at WSU, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Georgetown and supervised residents as an attending physician, served as the associate and interim medical director for an academic family medicine clinic and a county health department, and worked in general private practice for many years in nearby Moscow, Idaho. I am now happy to be working with students at WSU Cougar Health Services since 2022 and supervising resident physicians at the WSU Family Medicine Residency Program in Pullman. I am experienced in the treatment and management of both common minor health issues and rare or complicated chronic health conditions. I also perform a variety of skin, musculoskeletal, and gynecological procedures as well as contraceptive (birth control) management and gender-affirming care.
I grew up in Waverly, Iowa and have since lived in Minnesota, North Carolina, and the Washington, DC area as well. My hometown is now Pullman, WA with my husband (a physics professor at WSU), our three daughters, one Saint Bernard, two Siamese-mix cats, and one hamster. I have continued to stay involved with music as a "second career" and enjoy singing, playing the piano, and serving on the board of directors with the Palouse Choral Society and at my church. I also enjoy traveling, cooking/baking, and wine tasting. My favorite food or experience is whatever I haven't tried before.
