PhD, Licensed Psychologist
She/her/hers

I am a licensed psychologist and have focused my career on working at universities providing individual and group therapy to college students.

My first priority in therapy is to listen and develop a clear understanding of what you want to work on. Often, an important part of working together is helping you to understand yourself and your emotions better. I'll draw from my professional training and extensive clinical experience to collaborate with you in reaching your specific therapy goals. I'll offer support as you try new things, which might include new ways of communicating, new ways of relating to others, new coping strategies, or increasing your self-acceptance and self-compassion.

After earning a PhD in clinical psychology, I've worked in university counseling centers for 20+ years. My approach to therapy draws from person-centered, interpersonal, emotion-focused, and time-limited dynamic theoretical orientations. Working as a therapist requires a lifelong commitment to learning and professional development, which is a key value of mine. I prioritize continued growth in my ability to effectively work with students who have differing identities from my own, and particularly with students who have marginalized identities. My professional interests and areas of expertise include trauma, difficulties with family of origin, grief, group therapy, and clinical supervision for psychologists-in-training. I also enjoy working with graduate and professional students, LGBTQ+ individuals, and student athletes.

My hobbies are mostly indoors-y and I enjoy a good library book or craft project. I make time to regularly go for walks and practice mindfulness. I love spending time with my family, including our dog, Minerva, and appreciate opportunities to visit extended family who live across the country.
