Marybeth Hallett
PhD, Licensed Psychologist
She/her/hers
I am a licensed psychologist who provides counseling services to WSU students and engages in training future therapists.
I have been a therapist for many years and aim to help students navigate through difficult times to be academically and personally successful. I believe that early adulthood is a challenging time, and I focus on helping students know themselves and make choices that align with their values, thoughts, and feelings. My hope is that we will work collaboratively to find a good path for this particular time in your life, knowing that your identity and what matters to you will change and evolve.
I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas @ Austin. I was at the University of Missouri Columbia's Counseling Center for my internship and then I worked at the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign for 25 years. I am proud to be part of the team at WSU CAPS and I am doing my best to use my skills in talents in the services of the students on this campus.
When I am not at work, you will find me reading, knitting, camping, hiking, birdwatching, walking my dog, and enjoying my life!
