At Cougar Health Services, we are fully committed to creating an inclusive, equitable, welcoming space where all Cougs feel comfortable expressing their identities and being their full, authentic selves.

We provide high-quality, confidential health care to all students, regardless of race, sex, gender identity/expression, socioeconomic status, citizenship status, disability status, religion, national or ethnic origin, veteran status, or any other identity. We believe that the diverse backgrounds and identities of Cougs enrich our campus community and deepen our understanding of others and ourselves.

We recognize that entrenched systems of oppression and discrimination and historical exploitation of minoritized groups have fostered distrust of the medical and mental health field among some communities. We also recognize that broader systemic oppression harms the well-being of many of our Cougs on a daily basis.

As medical providers, it is our responsibility to not only help maintain the health of our community, but also to actively root out prejudices, biases, and systems of oppression in the medical system and re-build trust with historically underrepresented communities.
